India succumbed to a defeat for the first time in this World Cup against England on Sunday. Pakistan’s hopes of making it to the final four were dependent on India’s win. However, now that India has lost, Pakistan’s chances are slim. This got former Pakistan player Waqar Younis to question India’s ‘sportsmanship’.
It was not just the people of India but also Pakistan who were supporting the Men in Blue on Sunday. A win for Kohli’s men could have strengthened Pakistan’s chances of qualifying. But this was not to be, as India could manage only 306 runs in response to England’s 338.
Waqar Younis did not like the way India played. Hence, he took to his twitter to question the sportsmanship of the Indian cricket team.
It's not who you are.. What you do in life defines who you are.. Me not bothered if Pakistan gets to the semis or not but one thing is for sure.. Sportsmanship of few Champions got tested and they failed badly #INDvsEND #CWC2019

Earlier it was Basit Ali and Sikander Bakht had said that India will purposely lose matches so that Pakistan cannot make it to the semi-finals.
With the win against India, England is on 10 points, 1 point clear of Pakistan. The hosts will take on New Zealand in their last group stage game, whereas Pakistan will be up against Bangladesh in their last fixture.
