The ISL will kick off on September 13, 2024, and the final is scheduled for May 4, 2025. This extended season allows fans to enjoy a full calendar of football action, including the Durand Cup and the Super Cup.

The 2024-25 ISL season features 13 teams, including the newly promoted Mohammedan SC from the I-League. Last season’s champions, Mohun Bagan, will also represent India in the AFC Champions League 2. The league maintains its current format with no relegation.

For the first time, ISL clubs are not required to include an Asian Football Confederation (AFC) player in their squad. The salary cap has been increased, allowing clubs to spend more freely on international players. Despite AFC’s roadmap for relegation, the AIFF decided not to implement it this season.

Broadcast and Streaming:

Viacom18 Media Private Limited holds the broadcast rights for the 2024-25 season. Matches will be televised on Sports18, and fans can stream games live on the JioCinema app or website. Excitingly, JioCinema is expected to offer matches for free, just as they did last season.
