Indian judoka Tulika Maan has achieved a significant milestone by securing her berth for the Paris Olympics 2024. This remarkable feat was accomplished through the continental quota system, which allocates spots based on judokas’ performance in their respective continental rankings. Tulika will compete in the +78 kg category, marking her first-ever Olympic participation.
With Tulika’s quota, the Indian Contingent has now reached to an incredible 100 quotas for the Summer Games in Paris.

Tulika, a Target Olympics Podium Scheme (TOPS) athlete, hails from Bhopal and has been a regular performer both at the national and international levels.
Tulika previously won a silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England. Her impressive performance in the +78 kg category showcased her talent and determination.
Earlier this year, Tulika defeated the Asian champion and Olympic gold favourite, Kim Hayun, in the Asian Judo Championships quarterfinals. This victory further solidified her position as a formidable judoka.
Tulika’s journey began in her junior year. She secured bronze medals in the Asian Junior Championships held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (2017) and Beirut, Lebanon (2018). Her consistent performance and dedication paved the way for her current achievements.
