In a thrilling display of marksmanship, Indian shooters Arjun Babuta and Ramita Jindal have secured their places in the 10m air rifle finals at the Paris Olympics 2024.

Arjun Babuta’s exceptional performance

Arjun Babuta, the 25-year-old sharpshooter, delivered an exceptional performance in the qualification round. His series of scores—105.7, 104.9, 105.5, 105.4, 104.0, and 104.6—culminated in an impressive total of 630.1 points. He secured seventh place among a highly competitive field of shooters, earning his spot in the final.

The second Indian in the fray was Sandeep Singh. However, he had a horrible start as he could shoot only 103.6 in the first series. Even though he made a comeback in the final round with a series of 106, he failed to make the final, finishing 12th with 629.3.

Ramita Jindal, another talented Indian shooter, also advanced to the women’s 10m air rifle final. Her consistent performance and unwavering focus during the qualification round earned her a chance to compete for Olympic glory.

Arjun and Ramita join the ranks of Indian shooters who have made their mark at the Paris 2024 Games. Earlier, Manu Bhaker clinched a bronze in the women’s 10m air pistol event, showcasing India’s prowess in shooting sports.

As the anticipation builds, the entire nation rallies behind Arjun Babuta and Ramita Jindal, hoping for podium finishes in the finals. Their journey exemplifies the spirit of excellence and determination that defines the Olympic Games.
