In a thrilling display of marksmanship, Indian shooters Arjun Babuta and Ramita Jindal have secured their places in the 10m air rifle finals at the Paris Olympics 2024.
Arjun Babuta’s exceptional performance
Arjun Babuta, the 25-year-old sharpshooter, delivered an exceptional performance in the qualification round. His series of scores—105.7, 104.9, 105.5, 105.4, 104.0, and 104.6—culminated in an impressive total of 630.1 points. He secured seventh place among a highly competitive field of shooters, earning his spot in the final.
The second Indian in the fray was Sandeep Singh. However, he had a horrible start as he could shoot only 103.6 in the first series. Even though he made a comeback in the final round with a series of 106, he failed to make the final, finishing 12th with 629.3.
