Can Lallianzuala Chhangte become the next Indian after Mohammed Salim, Sunil Chhetri, Subrata Pal, and Gurpreet Singh Sandhu to ply his trade for a European top division club?

Delhi Dynamos’ winger Lallianzuala Chhangte has been offered trials by Norwegian top division club Viking FK. The 21-year-old is set to undergo a 10-day trial beginning from the last week of January.

However, it is up to the management of Delhi Dynamos whether to release Chhangte for the trials or not.

I-League: Minerva Punjab sign Juan Quero from Spanish third-tier side FC Fuenlabrada

I-League defending champions Minerva Punjab has signed Juan Quero from Spanish third-tier side FC Fuenlabrada. The Spaniard has been added to bolster Minerva Punjab’s squad for the 2019 AFC Champions League where they will be crossing swords with Iranian club Saipa FC.

Juan Quero recently played for FC Fuenlabrada against Real Madrid in the Copa Del Rey in the Round of 32 where they even managed to hold the legendary club to a 2-2 draw at the Santiago Bernabeau. Quero’s addition to the Minerva squad will bolster their ambitions to make it to the main tournament of the 2019 AFC Champions League immensely.

India to bid for 2020 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup

The AIFF has decided to bid for the 2020 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. In case you don’t know, India hosted the Men’s FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2017 and received a lot of praise from the highest governing body of football in the world for their brilliant organization skills.

If FIFA awards the bid to India, it would change the way women’s football is perceived in the nation significantly.

ISL 2018-19: Sandesh Jhingan in talks with ATK and a Qatari club

India’s center-back Sandesh Jhingan has been linked with ATK and Qatar Stars League Al-Gharafa SC for a potential move in the winter transfer window. However, the 25-year-old’s chances for signing with the Qatari club is meager as he might not get enough playing time.

The move to ATK is a feasible one as the Kolkata club needs change in personnel desperately if they want to make it to the play-offs. According to the reports, Sandesh Jhingan will only change his allegiance from Kerala Blasters to ATK if there is a heavy transfer fee involved.
