To every fan’s dismay, PCB CEO did not look optimistic about having bilateral series anytime soon. According to him, PCB are keen for having a bilateral series but BCCI needs permission from the government. The government of India have a strong stance of not having any bilateral series against Pakistan.

“It’s very sad, watchers from India and Pakistan want to watch cricket. When politics mixes with sport like in this situation, it creates real issues. You want sports to bring countries together. It can be the first step to repairing the damage relations. “

” People talk about the ashes but India Pakistan will be bigger than the ashes. But you will have to write it off for at least 3-4 years until the government changes in India or changes their stance”, he added.
