India vs England 3rd T20I: Odds, Predictions and, Analysis

16

India will take on England in the last game of the three-match T20 series at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. The Rohit-led side has the series in the bag with an unassailable lead of 2-0 and will look to become the first team in the world to whitewash the English team in T20s at their home turf.

India

The Indian team has been clinical in their performance with the bat and ball in the T20 series so far. Their aggressive approach and batting with intent have been praised by every cricket expert.

The Indian team had made four changes and these changes did not affect the outcome of the game as most of the senior blokes performed well. However, fans would be hoping that Virat Kohli brings his A-game as he got out playing a rash shot which was uncharacteristic of him.

Indian bowling has been highly impressed with Bhuvaneshwar Kumar being the standout bowler, who displayed exceptional skills with the new ball. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to see if the Indian team gives a chance to some youngsters and it is highly likely after skipper Rohit confirmed it in the post-match presentation.

England

England’s performance in T20s has been below par for the past few games and this series is a testament to that. Jos Buttler hasn’t had the best start to his full-time role as captain of England as the side is not playing to its potential. England’s batting has been a big concern for them as they are losing wickets in clusters in the powerplay.

However, a huge positive for the English side was the debut of right-arm pacer Gleeson who has had a fiery start to his international career. Another positive for the English side has been Chris Jordan’s bowling. But their spinners have not looked threatening.

But England is a quality side and we can expect a strong comeback from the World champions. They will be playing for pride in the last game in order to avoid a whitewash on their home turf.

WAGING ODDS: INDIA (1.72) VS ENGLAND (2.00)

India is the favourite and is priced at 1.72, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹172.

England is underdogs and is priced at 2.00 meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹200.

Our Predictions

Indian team is expected to give chance to some youngsters as they have the series in the bag. On the other hand, England will be playing hard to avoid a whitewash. Traditionally, the pitch at Trent Bridge is good for batting as it is a high-scoring ground which has small boundaries. So the flat conditions may go in the favour of the English team. Hence, England is expected to secure the win in a high-scoring contest.
