Golden day for India at U20 Asian Athletics Championships
The first gold of the day came in the men’s Shot Put event, where Siddharth Choudhary clinched the top spot. His powerful throws and consistent performance set him apart from the competition, earning him the coveted gold medal.
The second gold was won by Bharatpreet Singh in the Discus Throw event. Singh’s impressive throws, marked by strength and precision, earned him the gold medal, further cementing India’s dominance in the field events.
Sunil Kumar added to India’s gold tally by winning the Decathlon. The decathlon, a gruelling ten-event competition that tests an athlete’s versatility and endurance, saw Kumar outperform his competitors across the two-day event.
In the women’s category, Rezoana Mallick Heena secured a gold medal in the 400m event. Her speed and stamina were on full display as she crossed the finish line ahead of her competitors.
The women’s 4x400m relay team also had a strong showing, securing a gold medal. The team’s coordination and speed were key to their victory.
