Indian Under 19 women’s football team have thrashed the U-19 women’s football team of Pakistan with a margin of 18-0 in the first round of U-19 AFC Women’s Championship Qualifiers on Wednesday. The match was completely dominated by Indian under 19 Women’s football team from the first minute of the match.
Manisha has opened the scoresheet for India at the 2nd minute of the match. She has completed his Hat-Trick within the 47th minute of the match. Devneta, Daya and Roja have also scored two goals each in this match against Pakistan. Papki, Jabamani and Soumya Guguloth have registered their names in the scoresheet for India. But the main star of the match was Renu who scored five goals for Indian under 19 Women’s football team in the second half of the match. The match ended with a scoreline of 18-0 in favour of the Indian side.
“It was a great result for us. This kind of a win gives a lot of boost to our girls, and hopefully, we can go ahead and do better in the next game as well,”
India head coach Alex Ambrose told after the match.
While the Pakistan’s head coach was also not disappointed with the performance of their girls against India as they played after a long period of time. He told,
“We were banned by FIFA for three and a half years. So we played absolutely no football back then. India have already started an impressive development of their women’s game. We are just starting out on that front. It will take time, but we have to treat this as a learning experience.”
