The historic venue in Mumbai will see it’s first ODI being played after 12 long years when the Men In Blue take the field against the Windies. West Indies have managed to claw their way back into the series with a resilient effort in Vizag and a dominant one at Pune.
Hardik Pandya’s absence seems to hurt the home side as they struggle to find the right balance. Recalling Kedar Jadhav might be a solution to the persistent middle order crisis the side is suffering.
On the other side of the tape, lies West Indies who have defied all expectations in the limited overs series. The young and inexperienced side led by Jason Holder have managed to come up with answers much to the dismay of the Indians.
While the return of Bumrah, marked eventful for the pacer, the rest of the bowling line-up was below par. Concerns lie as far as the inability to clear out the West Indies’ tail for three consecutive games.
Players to watch out for:
Virat Kohli: With three successive hundreds by his name, it is hard to rule out the Indian captain for this all-important clash.
Shai Hope: Much like Kohli, the wicket-keeper batsman has been the savior for the visitors over the course of this series. Playing the anchor, Hope has been the solid rock in the batting order.
