The West Indies team gear up for the final fixture of the series with only pride to play for after being outclassed in the series so far. After gathering momentum during the initial course of the ODI series, the visitors failed to make use of it as their problems worsened over time.
While India on the other hand have gone from dominating to frightening over the course of the series. With the return of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah, the bowling unit has seemingly aligned itself to rattle out the Windies for below par totals in the latter end of the series.
With an important tour to Australia on the horizon, Team India will leave no box unchecked. The hosts will look to capitalize on the poor form of the hosts which include constant top order batting failures and lack of potent pace bowling.
The hosts have included Siddharth Kaul in the mix for the fixture in Chennai but skipper Rohit Sharma might lean in towards the idea of playing three spinners in the usual dry surface known for it’s grip and turn.
Carlos Brathwaite and co. need to step up to end the tour on a positive note. After being mauled by the Indians in the test series and outclassed in the ODI series, the T20 World Champions have been disappointing in the format suited for them.
