Hero Motosports Driver Wins Stage 11 at Dakar 2024; Keeps His Race Win Hopes Alive

Hero Motosports rider Ross Branch finished at top in stage 11 at the Dakar 2024 rally, which took place on Thursday between AlUla and Yanbu, spanning 587 Kms. This is second top of the stage finish for Hero Motosports. Ross Branch previously won the stage 1.

As the rally is set to conclude tomorrow, Hero Motosports’ Ross Branch is expected with a podium finish in drivers’ championship, which will a biggest accomplishment for the team in Dakar history.

Hero Motosports’ outstanding campaign at Dakar 2024

Hero Motosports previous best outing came last year when their rider Franco Caimi finished in the final standings at 10th position last year. This year’s result will better the team’s record at the prestigious event.

Hero Motosports started this year’s campaign with a bang as their rider Ross Branch finished at 3rd position in the prologue and finsihed at top in the stage 1. Branch completed stage 2 at 7th position and then produced a top 5 finish in 4th stage at 4th.

Hero then went on to finish at 6th in 5th stage and a top 5 finish in 6th. 4th in stage 7 and 8th position in stage 8. The team again produced a top 5 finish in stage 9 and stumbled in stage 10. With the recent stage 11, the team bettered the difference a bit, but still behind with 10 minute 22 seconds.

Ricky Brabec is currently at the top and Hero Motosports will be hoping for a top finish in the final stage and to surpass Ricky with a bit a luck.
