Henrikh Mkhitaryan is not in the plans of Unai Emery in the next season as the manager of the Gunners want to offload some players from the squad. Unai Emery was given only £45 million in the winter transfer window of 2018-19 season to make some reinforcements in the squad.
The Gunners are not having a huge budget in January transfer window and the club management are trying to increase it with offloading some players at the end of the season. The English centre forward Danny Welbeck’s contract is going to expire at the end of this season. The club management are not going to renew his contract.
On the other hand, Petr Cech announced his retirement after the end of the season. Aaron Ramsey has signed a pre contract to join Juventus in the next season. So, it is expected that the Gunners will be trying to add some new players in their squad to replace the stars leaving after the end of the season. Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s weekly wages are nearly about £200,000. That is the only reason why the Gunners are trying to offload him.
The Gunners are currently at the fourth position in the Premier League and their future transfer plans will completely depend on their Champions League qualification scenario in the next season.
