In the realm of sports, a comeback is always a thrilling spectacle. The National Women’s Hockey League witnessed such an exhilarating moment when Haryana bounced back to winning ways, defeating Manipur in a decisive match.

Women’s Hockey League: Haryana humbles Manipur

The match took place at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Haryana exhibited sheer dominance, sweeping aside Manipur Hockey with a resounding 8-0 triumph.

The early breakthrough came swiftly as Pooja struck the back of the net in the 2nd minute, setting the tone for Haryana’s relentless onslaught. Ritika showcased her prowess with a well-taken brace in the 17th and 29th minutes, further solidifying Haryana’s grip on the game.

Not to be outdone, Manju Chorsiya and Bhteri each added their names to the scoresheet, contributing to the team’s commanding lead. The final quarter witnessed a spectacular display of skill from Shashi Khasa, who orchestrated a lightning-fast hat trick, leaving Manipur’s defence in disarray.

Remarkably, every goal scored during the match was a field goal, underscoring Haryana’s proficiency in open play. This dominant performance marked a significant turnaround for Haryana, who had been seeking to return to their winning ways.
