Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul get notice from BCCI for their comments on Koffee with Karan

Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul are in hot waters after their appearance on late night talk show Koffee with Karan drew sharp criticism from cricket fans. They accused the duo of being Misogynist and sexist.

On the show, Pandya talked about hooking up with multiple women and When Karan Johar asked him why didn’t he ask women their name in a club, Pandya responded by saying, “I like to watch and observe how they (women) move. I’m little from the black side so I need to see how they move.

Pandya later apologised on Twitter and said that he got “carried away with the nature of the show“.

In the tweet, Pandya said, “After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in a way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect of hurt anyone’s sentiments. Respect.

The Committee of Administrators (COA) on Wednesday issued a show-cause notice to both the cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul and asked for an explanation within 24 hours.

We have sent show cause notices to Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul for their comments. They have been given 24 hours to give an explanation,” chairman of the Committee of Administrators Vinod Rai told PTI.
