“Chris Morris, the Royal Challengers Bangalore all-rounder, has been reprimanded for breaching the Dream11 Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Mumbai Indians at Abu Dhabi. Mr Morris admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct,” a statement released by the IPL read.

“Hardik Pandya, the Mumbai Indians all-rounder, has been reprimanded for breaching the IPL’s Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Abu Dhabi. Mr Pandya admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.20 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” the statement further read.

Pandya and Morris were seen involved in a verbal tiff during Mumbai Indians’ chase of 165 against RCB and the incident took place in the 19th over, when Mumbai required 16 more runs to win and cement a place in the playoff.

However, after the first three balls went for only three runs, Pandya came on strike and got underneath a fuller delivery from Morris and smashed a helicopter shot for a maximum over the long-on. At that time, both of them were seen exchanging some words. However, that didn’t end at that point.

Meanwhile, Morris had the last laugh as in the next delivery, Pandya got out as Mohammed Siraj took the catch at extra cover. While returning to the dugout, Pandya and Morris were seen again where the Mumbai allrounder pointing his fingers at Morris and that led both of them face this.
