Following India’s emphatic victory against England in the T20 World Cup semifinal, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh didn’t hold back when responding to Michael Vaughan’s conspiracy theory. Vaughan had suggested that the choice of Guyana as the venue favoured India, but Harbhajan swiftly shut down that notion.
Harbhajan Singh slams Michael Vaughan
Vaughan’s claim centred around the semifinal match being played in Guyana, implying that it was an advantage for India. However, Harbhajan countered by emphasizing that both teams played on the same pitch. England won the toss, which could be considered an advantage, but India outplayed them comprehensively in all aspects of the game.
What makes u think Guyana was a good venue for India ? Both Teams played on the same venue . England won the toss that was an advantage . Stop being silly . England was outplayed by India in all departments. Accept the fact and Move on and keep ur rubbish with urself. Talk logic… https://t.co/2osEFYJeFC

Vaughan had been vocal about the venue even before the match, pointing out that India was originally scheduled to play their semifinal in Trinidad. However, the venue was later shifted to Guyana. Despite this, Vaughan eventually acknowledged that India deserved their place in the final, praising them as the best team in the tournament so far. He also noted India’s prowess on lower-spinning tracks.
The Providence Stadium is known to be a slow track and despite winning the toss, England captain Jos Buttler opted to bowl first. Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma had mentioned at the toss that they wanted to bat first only. Despite the multiple rain delays, there was nothing on offer for the spinners and slowly it became clear that the pitch was suiting the spinners. The Indian spinners gave England a run for their money as they exploited the conditions really well and helped India win the match.
