The manager of Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri claimed that Pep Guardiola was extremely lucky to have his job at Manchester City till now. The first season of Manchester City under the management of Pep Guardiola was not extremely good. They failed to win a single trophy in that season. However, they secured the top four finish in the Premier League at the end of that season.

According to Maurizio Sarri, every new system takes some time to settle in a new condition. The manager should be given that time to adjust himself in the new League. However, in England the pressure is very much high to perform from the first season itself. When, Maurizio Sarri was asked about Pep Guardiola’s job at Manchester City, he told :

“Because he (Guardiola) was lucky. I don’t know. You have to ask the club. You have to ask both, Manchester City and Chelsea.

But I don’t know if I am under pressure from my club or from you. I don’t know at the moment.

I think that, if you choose Guardiola, you have to wait because the club knows very well that Guardiola needs time. It’s not really very easy for an English team to play that kind of football, so it’s normal.

Chelsea will face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup Final on Sunday. The result of the match will certainly decide the future of Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
