‘The grind is on’ for Team India ahead of the one-off Test match against England

Team India are gearing up for the highly-anticipated 5th test match against England which was pushed back due to the outbreak of COVID-19 cases last year. The Men in Blue are currently playing Leicestershire in a practice match at Uptonsteel County Ground in Leicester which started on Thursday, June 23 and will continue till Sunday, June 26. The Men in Blue are getting accustomed to the English conditions. The Rohit Sharma-led side arrived in England last week and have been preparing for the marquee clash. Recently, a video clip on social media showed the players sweating it out in the nets ahead of the huge match.

In a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) on their official Twitter handle, the Indian players were seen sweating it out at the Uptonsteel Cricket Ground in order to get match ready. “The grind is on. #TeamIndia sweat it out in the nets in the lead up to the rescheduled fifth #ENGvIND Test,” the BCCI captioned the video.

There will be some notable members missing from the one-off Test. Indian batting ace KL Rahul who is out with an injury, and potentially Ravichandran Ashwin, who recently contracted Covid-19.

The clash against the Three Lions at Edgbaston in Birmingham is set to start on July 1.
