The star English defender Gary Cahill is going to leave Stamford Bridge after the end of this season. However, the end note is not that good for Gary Cahill. According to the star English defender, the way he has been treated through out the whole season by Maurizio Sarri is totally unacceptable.
Gary Cahill was a regular starter for the Blues in the previous season under the management of Antonio Conte. He was also in FA Cup winning team of Chelsea in the previous season. However, things did not go in the same way for the English centre back after that. Maurizio Sarri was given the responsibility of being the manager of the Blues.
Maurizio Sarri always wished to have defenders who can create the gameplay from the back of the defense. For this reason, he always preferred the combination of Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz at the back. Andreas Christensen was their deputy and Gary Cahill was nowhere near to make it to starting lineup of the Blues.
According to Cahill, it is not expected for a senior player like him. However, he kept working hard in the training sessions to keep the team spirit on a high note. Today it was the last game for Gary Cahill in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge but he would leave Chelsea with a bittr-sweet memory.
