Frenemies forever: Virat Kohli reminisces about his IPL history with ABD and Eoin Morgan

Virat Kohli has been in the international circuit since 2008 and while developing a reputation of being brash and arrogant, the Indian skipper has evolved which is evident with the admiration he has received from his peers.

The Indian skipper posted a throwback picture on Instagram where is seen laughing alongside former South African captain AB de Villiers and 2019 World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan.

The picture was taken before the commencement of the 2017 Champions Trophy, a competition which India managed to reach the finals of before suffering a heavy defeat at the hands of Pakistan.

Kohli shares a special bond with de Villiers on and off the field after sharing a dressing room for several years with Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The 30-year-old added a heartwarming caption with the picture which read:

“The beautiful thing about sport is that rivalries stay on the field and just with a smile and an open mind all tension between athletes can be put to rest. Play hard on the field but always be up for a laugh off it. What a blessing to have gotten to know so many amazing people through sport,”

The prolific batsman won’t be a part of India’s T20 squad against Bangladesh after having played continuous cricket since the tour Down Under last year.
