The fourth test between India and Australia which is currently slated to be held in Brisbane is in serious doubt with BCCI writing to Cricket Australia that the Indian contingent are unwilling to travel. The Indian protest was led by coach Ravi Shastri, who marched into the SCG without a mask on.
Australian sports broadcaster Jimmy Smith has claimed that the Indian cricketing governing body has indeed written to the Cricket Australia. They have reportedly voiced their concern against yet another stringent hotel quarantine.

An unnamed source even went on to state that they have been treated like “animals in a zoo”. Team India are said to be in favour of contesting the final test in Sydney itself or any other city barring Brisbane.
The curator at the Sydney Cricket Ground has not prepared a backup pitch and that remains a huge obstacle in the fourth test being contested at the same venue.
Ahead of the third test, skipper Ajinkya Rahane was asked about the ongoing issue. The match-winner at the MCG claimed that the decision lies with the management with the players only focusing on the Sydney test.
“We as players, we are just focusing on this Test match. The Indian team management, they will take the decisions,” Rahane said.
“For us as players, it’s all about giving our best on the field. The Test match is starting tomorrow (Thursday) so we are just focusing on that and we want to do well.”
Opposition skipper Tim Paine also admitted that the series will take a fiery turn due to the external talk and pressure.
“There’s a bit of tension starting to boil under the surface with a lot of unnamed sources coming out from their camp saying where they want to play the fourth Test and where they don’t want to go. I think it’s starting to grind a few people so we’ll see how it goes.”
India’s reluctance to travel has sparked a major debate with the Australian media demanding more pressure.
The visitors were recently under fire for allegedly flouting the bio-bubble safety regulations set in place. Five Indian cricketers were found dining indoors in a Melbourne restaurant.
