Meanwhile, as per the report on ABP, the accident happened on the Lalsot-Kota highway and the car turned turtle too. The former captain, however, managed to escape from there without any serious injuries. Moreover, he was returning to Ranthambore alongside his family and he was also taken to his hotel in another car, the report further shared as well.

Three other passengers, who were travelling along with him in the vehicle also escaped from the car unhurt but an employee of an eatery who was near in which the SUV overturned got a few injuries too, said SHO Chandrabhan Singh of Soorwal police station. He also revealed that the vehicle overturned into the nearing field when the driver of the car got too close to the edge of the road while trying to negotiate the traffic and failed to keep the balance as well.

Mohammed Azharuddin has represented India in 99 Test matches and he was also the highest run-scorer in One Day internationals at one point as well, before the batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar has surpassed him as well. Moreover, Azhar has led the Team India in three ICC Cricket World Cups from 1992 to 1999, captaining the team into the semi-final in the 1996 edition as well.

As far as current Team India’s status is concerned, they have levelled the four-match Test series against Australia by 1-1. Meanwhile, India’s stylish opening batsman Rohit Sharma, who has recovered well from his hamstring injury and has currently been under quarantine in Sydney, will join the Test squad in Melbourne on Wednesday. However, there is still no surety on whether he will be featured in the third Test which is starting from January 7.

India head coach Ravi Shastri on Tuesday said to the media that the team management will talk to him about how his condition is before taking a call on his availability.

“Rohit joins the team tomorrow. We will have a chat with him to see where he is placed physically because he has been quarantined for a couple of weeks. We will have to see now how he feels before we take the call,” said Shastri.
