Ex Liverpool forward Craig Bellamy believes Jose Mourinho should drop Paul Pogba again for the Liverpool game, and the fans agree.
The World Cup winner was brought back into the starting XI against Valencia having had to settle for a place on the bench for the games against Arsenal and Fulham.
But, after another underwhelming performance in the Champions League Bellamy believes Pogba should sit on the sidelines for Sunday’s match at Anfield.
“Pogba was poor again tonight,” he told The Debate. “Mourinho isn’t getting the best out of Pogba, that’s clear. There is a lack of interest from Pogba. His performance in Valencia was concerning.
“I’m not sure if he is as good as a lot of people make out. There’s a massive game on Sunday, Liverpool versus Manchester United is the biggest game in the Premier League between the teams who have won the most trophies, an incredible fixture.
“If you’re Mourinho, after Pogba’s performance today, it will be very difficult to say he has to play, he has to leave him out again.”
Also, a vote conducted on the MEN twitter account saw 55% of 1.591 voters vote in favour of Mourinho dropping the France international.
One fan even went as far to reply: “He shouldn’t wear the shirt again.”
Now, it remains to be seen whether or not Mourinho selects him in the starting XI on Sunday’s match.
