Footballing star and the current LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his 500th goal of career in a thriller of a game as his side surrendered to a 5-3 defeat against Toronto FC on Saturday. He now joins an elite club of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as active players to have scored 500 career goals for both club and country.
Ibrahimovic has so far scored 438 goals in his club career which includes number of teams such as Malmö FF, Ajax, Juventus, FC Internazionale, FC Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris-Saint Germain, Manchester United and the LA Galaxy. Also in his 114 appearances for his National side Sweden, Zlatan has netted in 62 goals.
Regarded has one of the legends of the game, Ibrahimovic has so far accumulated 33 trophies in his playing career. Adding one more to that illustrious trophy cabinet might be a difficult task this season as his side currently sit in the eight place in the Western Conference and out of the MLS playoff places.
Zlatan has so far been having a stellar time in the United States, since moving on from English Giants, Manchester United. In 18 league appearances with the Galaxy, Ibrahimovic now has 17 goals, good for second in the league behind Atlanta United’s Josef Martinez, who holds the record for the most goals in a single season.
