“The Swiss Express” has been playing in the Italian Serie A for almost a decade. He joined Lazio in 2008 and left the club in 2011 for Juventus. In 201 appearances for “The Zebras”, he scored 12 goals. On 5 June 2018, he signed for Arsenal on a free transfer.
On 25 June, he was fined 4,000 pounds by FIFA after the 2-1 group win over Serbia for his part in the controversial goal celebrations of Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri.
Stephan Lichsteiner will be looking forward to a positive outcome this Tuesday and it remains to be seen how well he will blend with “The Gunners” at the start of the new Premier League season.
