Mohammed Salah the Egyptian and Liverpool winger turns 26 years today. Known as the ‘Egyptian Messi’ in his nation, Salah had a prolific season with Liverpool scoring 32 league goals and overall 44 goals.

The winger was taken off when he injured his shoulder in the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid on 26th May. Beating all the odds he has recovered fully and is in contention to feature in the starting lineup against Uruguay today.

Salah was the top scorer for Egypt with five goals during the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification, including both goals in the decisive 2–1 victory over Congo, one of which was a penalty in the last minute to make the Pharaohs reach their first World Cup finals since 1990.

He would now look to take his stellar form which he displayed for his club into the world cup and lead his nation to further glory.
