The 34-year-old joined Roma from Bologna for a fee of €4 million on a 3-year contract which runs till 2021. The veteran goalkeeper will be back up to Alisson Becker, who is in Russia now for the World Cup.
He played his last 3 seasons at Bologna, making 90 appearances for the Emilia-Romagna club in all competitions. It can be easily said that The Giallorossis are on a roll right now having signed Ante Coric, Ivan Marcano, Bryan Cristante and Justin Kluivert as well.
“Becoming a Roma player is a proud moment for me,” Mirante said.
“It was something that I really wanted – this is the right moment in my career and I think it will be a great step for me.”
