Tottenham Hotspurs and Denmark national team’s star midfielder Christian Eriksen has been on a very impressive run this season and considering that his contract with the north London club runs out this season, links with multiple big clubs have been reported, and while Tottenham themselves would like to retain their star, his future remains uncertain.

The Danish midfielder played a huge role in Tottenham’s 6-2 decimation of Everton at Goodison Park last weekend including an impressive 20 yard goal and this is just one of his many exploits all over England this season. When asked about his future with the club, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino said, football being a dynamic sport, everything related to it in turn, including players, is dynamic as well.

“Football is so dynamic. It changes every day, every season. It depends not only on your decision, but it is always a player’s decision,” he added.  “Of course, it is a person that the club wants for the future, but now we need to be focused – a player like him is focused and tries to deliver a great performance in the way that we need. A decision is going to happen at the end of the season or a decision will happen in the next few days, in January.”

Eriksen has been instrumental in helping his team reach many heights. Tottenham sit in third place in Premier League with 42 points out of 18 games, have qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League and are through to the semi-finalsof the Carabao Cup.
