Often referred to as an all time great footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, or CR7 is a Portuguese forward who plays for Spanish Giants Real Madrid. Ronaldo made his senior team debut in 2003 after having played at all levels for Portugal from the U-15 to the U-23 level. He led Portugal to their first ever international triumph when they won the Euro 2016 in france.
Capped 150 times, Ronaldo is Portugal’s most capped player and his 81 goals make him the all time leading goal scorer for his country. Having won a record-equaling five Ballon D’ors and an astonishing four European golden shoes, Ronaldo will look to take Portugal to greater heights in this world cup.
Aged 33, Ronaldo has had the best start to a calendar year in his career. He surely doesn’t look like slowing down anytime soon. His physique and hard-work is second to none. Portugal will yet again look up to their talismanic forward to lead their team to world cup glory. Having had to limp out of the pitch in the Euro 2016 final, Ronaldo will look to go big in this year’s World cup.
