Australia take on Peru in the final round of group stage fixtures at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi.
Australia go into the match needing a convincing win vs their opponents and at the same time needing France to beat Denmark. If France fail to beat Denmark then whatever may be the result here, Aussies will have to simply go home.
Australia skipper Mile Jedinak has scored both of his country’s goals to date from the penalty spot, continuing his unblemished record with spot kicks and would become the first Australian to score three goals at a single World Cup should he strike against Peru.
On the other hand, even though Peru are out of the tournament they play a crucial role in deciding whether their opponents go through or not. Having lost both of their group games they will be looking to salvage some pride by beating the Aussies.
The match is scheduled to begin at 7.30pm IST with telecast on SONY SIX and SONY SIX HD.
