The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 is giving us great moments and even more memorable matches to remember. Now that the Women’s World Cup has progressed on to the knockout round of 16 stages, every game is crucial and there is just no room left for mistakes. Yesterday, in the Word Cup, two matches were played and both certainly delivered on the entertainment factor.

The first match of the evening was played out between Spain and the United States of America. USA knocked Spain out of the world with a close 2-1 victory. USA’s Megan Rapinoe opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a penalty, before Spain’s, Jennifer Hermoso equalised in the ninth minute of the match. Rapinoe then went on to score the winner for USA in the 76th minute of the match due to another penalty.

The second game of the night involved another North American team taking on another European nation, as USA’s rivals Canada took on Sweden. Sweden won match 1-0 and knocked Canada out of the World Cup.

It was mostly a rather boring fixture with both teams not wanting to lose and thus being cautious rather than going for it with all guns blazing. In the end, Sweden’s, Stina Blackstenius scored the only goal match in the 55th minute.
