The 3-year-old South African toddler, Hugo Heath, took to Instagram to flaunt his batting prowess and skills. In a series of videos, Hugo impressed everyone with his beautiful bat swing, timing, and ability to hit big sixes for his age. The fans on social media were awestruck with this little champ’s incredible talent.
Hugo Heath: Master Blaster in the future?
‘Age is just a number’, this old saying is falling into place in Hugo Heath’s case. Virat Kohli once said that he picked up the bat at the age of 4 and his father used to play with him. At present, Virat made a name for himself as one of the greatest batters that the game has ever seen.
Though we cannot see how Virat batted back in those toddler days, thanks to the Internet and the rise of social media, a grown-up Hugo can see his batting skills at the age of 3. The kid has an Instagram account, where he posts his batting videos.
“Documenting my life, love, and progress through sport. I am Hugo, I am 3 years old and I love sports,” Hugo’s Instagram bio said.
Hugo’s batting style looked spectacular as he launched every ball with a great bat swing. In one of his videos, he was seen celebrating a half-century by taking his little hat off and raising the bat. In the video, he did every act that a senior batter would do at the crease, including taking the guard. The little champ was not only dealing in sixes but also completed a hard-fought single and laid flat on the ground.
In another video, Hugo flaunted his batting skills and this time, as he had no one to bowl at him, the toddler took the bowler’s job himself and launched his own deliveries for huge sixes.
Fans reacted to Hugo’s incredible skills and started comparing him with the likes of AB De Villiers and Jacques Kallis. A few fans mistakenly thought that he could be an Australian and commented that India could face another defeat against Australia in 20 years.
