A fan pays restaurant bill of Indian cricketers in Melbourne

An Indian fan was overwhelmed to see Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill in a restaurant in Melbourne. He eventually went onto pay the restaurant bill of the cricketers.

The fan interacts with the cricketers

The fan’s gesture has gained a lot of praises from the fellow fans of the cricket community. According to his Twitter handle, his name is Navaldeep Singh.

He spotted likes of Rohit Sharma, Navdeep Saini, Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill and paid a bill which amounted to AUD 118.69 (INR 6683).

He was awestruck witnessing the stars of Indian cricket team and immediately Tweeted a short video clip featuring the cricketers. He even admitted that he had ordered food so that he could sit back and watch them.

Navaldeep Singh narrated the incident on Twitter that when the players got to know about him paying the bill for them, Rohit Sharma had asked him to take the money.

Rishabh Pant joked with him and told that the photo will be snapped only if he takes the money back.

However, Navaldeep Singh disagreed to take the money back and Pant hugged him and eventually, they clicked a picture with him and his wife.

Rishabh Pant hilariously thanked the fan’s wife for the lunch. He said, “Thank you bhabhi ji for the lunch.”

Since the incident was shared by Navaldeep Singh on social media, he has received nothing but praises and blessings for his beautiful gesture towards the Indian cricketers.

It is not unknown that cricket is like a religion to the Indians and fans like Navaldeep Singh are the ones who keep the spirit of the sport high off the field. Even the fans of overseas have lauded the gesture.

Rohit Sharma, who was one of the cricketers spotted in the restaurant would be making his return to the squad for the last two tests. He was recently cleared to play and has been included in the upcoming test match.

Team India are well prepared for the upcoming 3rd test match against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which is set to take place at Sydney Cricket Ground from January 7 onwards.
