Popular teams in the league Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore have lost their opening games. MS Dhoni scored a half-century in the inaugural match against KKR, but CSK lost the game while defending. Ishan Kishan for MI and Faf du Plessis for RCB gave a brilliant start but couldn’t take their teams over the line. Interestingly, all three wins came while chasing. Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings registered stunning victories and started their campaign positively. While Dhoni won the first orange cap this season, Ishan Kishan grabbed it from the CSK ex-skipper for his quick-fire 88. With key players chipping in at the anticipated time, we will have to wait and see who wins Orange cap by the end of the event.
