Everton are ‘appalled’ by the antics of the 20-year-old who breached a number of coronavirus lockdown restrictions after throwing a party that lasted long into the night.
Kean, who is believed to earn £50,000 per week at the club also went on to film himself during the bash which he hosted in his apartment.
The youngster will most likely face disciplinary action from the club as the officials were reportedly stunned with the actions of their striker. The club released a statement which read:
“Everton Football Club was appalled to learn of an incident in which a first team player ignored Government guidance and club policy in relation to the coronavirus crisis. The club has strongly expressed its disappointment to the player and made it clear that such actions are completely unacceptable.
“Everton has regularly stressed the importance of following all the Government guidelines – including rules and advice for inside and outside of the home – through a series of official communications to all staff members, including players. The amazing people in the NHS deserve the utmost respect for their hard work and sacrifice. The best way to show them respect is by doing everything we can to protect them.”
A source close to the 20-year-old claimed that Kean and his friends did not believe that the rules applied to them as well.
“Clearly, Moise and his friends didn’t think the rules applied to them.
“The party was wild and went on until the early hours. Premier League stars are getting paid huge salaries and not working.
The young striker who made the switch to Merseyside from Juventus last summer was tipped for great things in the Premier League, given his potential. However, Kean has had a torrid time so far with only a solitary goal to his name in 26 games.
Kean joins names such as Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish, and Spurs duo Serge Aurier and Moussa Sissoko to have flaunted the lockdown guidelines.
