Tottenham starman Christian Eriksen is set to return to the training grounds this week as Mauricio Pochettino’s side has not received any offers for the player this summer, despite revealing his desire to leave North London in June.

Following the 2-0 defeat against Liverpool in the Champions League final back in June, the 27-year old expressed his desire to seek for a new challenge elsewhere.
The Danish playmaker, who only has a year left on his contract with the Lilywhites, was heavily linked with elites like Real Madrid, Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain.
However, Spurs have received no official bids for the Danish playmaker, as reports from the Guardian suggest.
“I feel that I am at a stage of my career where I would like to try something new.” the midfielder told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet following the CL final in June.
“I have the deepest respect for everything that is happening at Tottenham and it would not be something negative to stay. But I have also said that I would like to try something new.
“I hope that something will be decided this summer. That is the plan. In football you never know when there could be a decision like that.
“It could be at any point. The best thing is always for it to happen quickly but in football things take time.”
Eriksen is due for pre-season training this week ahead of the club’s trip to Asia next Wednesday.
