The BCCI have announced an 18-man squad for the first three tests against England which is slated to begin from August 1 at Leeds.
Injury concerns have forced the authority to make a few calls which include the exclusion of Wridhhiman Saha and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
The BCCI released a statement regarding the exclusion of the pacer which reads:
Bhuvneshwar Kumar aggravated a lower back condition in the 3rd ODI against England. His condition is being assessed by the BCCI medical team and a call on his inclusion in the Test squad will be made soon.
Dinesh Karthik will don the gloves in the absence of Saha whereas the injured Jasprit Bumrah will be available for selection from the second test.
