Chelsea star Eden Hazard has made up his mind on his future in London by refusing to sign a new contract amid Real Madrid links. Chelsea are rendered powerless in stopping him from leaving even if they trigger his one-year extension clause, as the club will be forced to accept whatever offer will be on the table thereon.
The long standing Real Madrid-Eden Hazard saga might just be coming to an end in the summer as the La Liga giants are confident of landing the Premier League star in Zidane’s all new lineup, while Chelsea are out of moves to try and entice the ace to stay.
To add to the misery of the Blues, not even Champions League football can convince the Belgian to further his stay in London. Hazard’s heroics against West Ham have further upped the ante, and as he enters the final year of his deal, the Blues ought to make a decision quickly. Should they reject Real’s offer, hold him against his will and extend his stay another year, they risk not only losing him on a free later but also a reported £100m sum in return.
The Stamford Bridge outfit have already insisted that any bids from fellow Premier League sides for the Belgium international will not be considered, and with that being said, should Hazard indeed become a free agent, Chelsea face the highly undesired possibility of losing their prized forward to their English rivals.
