India’s celebrated double Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra married Himani Mor, a former tennis player, in an intimate ceremony in Shimla on January 16, 2025. Only 40-50 close family members and friends attended the wedding. Neeraj, who won gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and silver at the Paris 2024 Olympics, surprised fans by sharing the first photos from the ceremony on social media on January 19.

Himani Mor, the newlywed wife of double Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra, is a former tennis player and current sports management professional. Born in Sonipat, Haryana, Himani attended Little Angels School in Sonipat and later pursued a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Physical Education at Miranda House, Delhi University. She represented India in tennis and achieved a career-best national ranking of 42 in singles and 27 in doubles in 2018. Himani participated in the 2017 World University Games in Taipei and won a gold medal in the World Junior Tennis Championship held in Malaysia in 2016.

Currently, Himani is pursuing a Master of Science in Sports Management and Administration at the McCormack Isenberg School of Management in Amherst, Massachusetts. She has also worked as a part-time Volunteer Assistant Coach at Franklin Pierce University and is currently a graduate assistant at Amherst College, managing the women’s tennis team. Himani’s journey reflects a balance between academics and professional tennis, making her an inspiration for aspiring student-athletes.
The couple is currently enjoying their honeymoon in the United States, and upon their return, the Chopra family plans to host a grand reception to celebrate the newlyweds.
