Get a life: Former India cricketer Dodda Ganesh hits out at online trolling about Sourav Ganguly’s heart issue

Former India captain and the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has been in the hospital after he had suffered a sudden blackout after a mild chest pain while he was working out at his Behala residence on Saturday. He was taken to Kolkata’s Woodlands Hospital that day and operated as well. However, his condition became a matter of troll for some people as well.

Sourav Ganguly had advertised for a cooking oil brand which says to help keep the heart healthy and protect it from any major health issues. And, a section of Twitter users had taken it to another level and trolled him too which didn’t go well with many. Meanwhile,  the cricketer Dodda Ganesh has slammed at online trolls for targetting Ganguly.

While asking trolls to ‘get a life’, Ganesh said that anyone can suffer a heart attack and there’s no guarantee that cooking oil can provide you with a good and healthy heart.

“No cooking oil can guarantee you a good healthy heart. People who’re using @SGanguly99’s present medical condition to take the mickey out of him and drawing pleasure, need to get a life. A heart attack can happen to anyone. Period #SouravGanguly,” he tweeted.

On the other hand, Ganguly is expected to be released on Wednesday, as per the hospital sources. Notably, Ganguly on Saturday had to undergo angioplasty after he was admitted following the complaints of chest pain.

“Sourav Ganguly is now stable. He has undergone angioplasty. There are two more blockages in his heart for which he will be treated with angioplasty during this admission,” said a doctor of the nine-member medical team which is led by cardiologist Dr Saroj Mondal.

A medical team, led by SSKM Hospital’s cardiology department head Dr Saroj Mondal, is currently looking after Sourav Ganguly’s health check-ups at the famous hospital. Even, he was moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) from the emergency observation ward as well.
