Dion Gowda and Mumbai Falcons to take a Flying Start of the 2024 Junior Formula Season at F4 UAE

Mumbai Falcons’ driver Dion Gowda secured a 4th position in pre season Test 1 of F4 UAE held at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, while his teammates Freddie Slater and Kean Nakamura-Berta finished at 6th and 10th positions respectively. Another Mumbai Falcons’ driver Alex Powell  finished at 8th position in Test 2.

The F4 UAE championship will feature 5 rounds, including a pre season test which will be held between January 10 to February 18, 2024.

The FIA Formula 4 race is a junior category for under 16 years, in which different countries can host their own championships.

Mumbai Falcons set for another great outcome

Mumbai Falcons is an affiliate of Italy’s Prema racing. Falcons had an excellent F4 UAE Championship in 2023. Their drivers James Wharton and Tuukka Taponen, who also won Rookies’ championship, finsihed at top 2 in drivers’ championship. With that Mumbai Falcons also won the teams’ championship with a whopping 444 points.

Mumbai Falcons also won the 2023 Formula Regional Middle East Championship(FRMEC). With a lot of success in the previous year, the team will be hoping for another milestone at the F4 UAE Championship.

Mumbai Falcons’ Drivers at F4 UAE Championship

This year, Mumbai Falcons recruited 4 different drivers from its previous races. Dion Gowda, 16, who finished at 25th position in the previous year’s race, won points finish at the British F4 Championship. He has now joined Falcons at the F4 UAE championship and will be raging to go in the round 1, which starts on January 12.

Kean Nakamura-Berta, a Japanese driver had an impressive record in Karting is set to make his debut at the F4 UAE with Falcons.

The Jamaican Alex Powell, 16, is another impressive performer, who previously finished in top 4 at FIA Karting European Championship, will be joining the champion team.

The English Driver, Freddie Slater, 15, joined Prema racing last year. He is actively involved in every F4 race for the team. Slater will now join the affiliates at the 2024 F4 opener.
