Former India captain MS Dhoni’s parents Devaki Devi and Pan Singh have contracted the virus and have been admitted to a private hospital in Ranchi.

MS Dhoni is currently leading the CSK outfit in Mumbai ahead of their match against Kolkata Knight Riders later tonight.

According to sources, MS Dhoni’s parents are currently receiving medical care at the Pulse Superspeciality Hospital in Ranchi.

As per the rules, a player leaving the bio-bubble will have to serve a seven-day quarantine once again upon return.

Chennai Super Kings will leave Mumbai following their last match at the Wankhede Stadium against the leaders Royal Challengers Bangalore. Their next leg of fixtures will be at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

At the start of the tournament, even the IPL was hit with the covid storm after a number of players which include Nitish Rana, Axar Patel and Devdutt Padikkal tested positive.

India is currently battling a huge surge in cases with 2.95 lakh cases being reported in the last 24 hours along with over 2000 deaths.
