DHL Delivers Rugby
About two years ago, Cricklade Rugby Club received an extra boost from DHL Delivers Rugby. This program, initiated by DHL, supports grassroots rugby clubs by providing them with essential equipment. Clubs can register for a chance to receive a special delivery of rugby gear. For Cricklade, this support included balls, goal post pads, and even a trimmer for pitch upkeep. The equipment was a game-changer, akin to winning the lottery, and it significantly contributed to the club’s growth and development.
The DHL STAR Program in India
Now, DHL Express and Rugby India are replicating this success in India. The DHL STAR program focuses on nurturing young athletes. While currently in its pilot phase, the program aims to create a pathway for talented rugby players. By identifying and supporting promising youngsters, it aspires to strengthen India’s rugby ecosystem.
