Team India under the new leadership of head coach Rahul Dravid and newly appointed skipper Rohit Sharma, picked up a five-wicket victory against New Zealand in the 1st T20 International at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. on Wednesday. Pacer Deepak Chahar was part of the playing XI for India and following the victory, Chahar came up with a throwback picture with skipper Rohit which was clicked on the same venue fifteen years back. After the conclusion of the match, Chahar got clicked with the hitman and posted a collage of his current picture and their 15-year-old picture on the same venue.

India chased the target of 165 runs where skipper Rohit Sharma guided India to a blistering start with his crucial innings of 48 runs but Suryakumar Yadav emerged with the heroics as he switched the momentum in favor of The Men in Blue by tallying 62 runs off 40. Talking about Chahar, he didn’t have an ideal outing as he picked one wicket while conceding over 10.00. However, India managed to overcome the late stutter and won the game by five wickets.
The second T20I will be played on Friday at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi while Eden Gardens in Kolkata will host the third and final T20I on Sunday. The T20I series will be followed by a two-match Test series with the second match scheduled at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, starting on December 3.
