Kings XI Punjab secured a nail-biting win against Mumbai Indians in the second super over during their last game. However, since after the game, Twitterati started tagging the all-rounder Jimmy Neesham in their posts regarding super over as he has faced something similar situation in the World Cup final in July last year where England won the title.
For Kings XI Punjab, this was the second time in the ongoing IPL 2020 that the result was decided by the super over. Notably, in the first game, they had lost to Delhi Capitals. But on Sunday, KL Rahul’s successfully led his side to a victory.
However, after both the teams finished on 176 in their allotted 20 overs, Jasprit Bumrah bowled superbly restricted KXIP to 5 in the first super over. Meanwhile, with 6 runs to defend, Punjab speedster Mohammed Shami showed his calibre and restricted Mumbai Indians to 5 and the game went to the second super.
While batting first in the second super over, Mumbai Indians scored 11 runs against Chris Jordan, courtesy Kieron Pollard. While chasing, Chris Gayle started with a six off Trent Boult before Mayank Agarwal smashed the third and fourth balls for boundaries and sealed the deal inside the four balls.
However, after the game finished, Jimmy Neesham took to Twitter and shared his thrilling experience of the game and also shared how it feels to be a part of another match which was decided by the super over as well. Meanwhile, a user on Twitter asked him to give some tips on how to remain calm in such pressure situations.
“I wonder how @JimmyNeesh keeps his nerves calm during such games. Please help us with some tips neesham,” wrote the user.
Jimmy Neesham, who is known for his witty reply on social media, has noticed the tweet and decided to reply as well. In his own way, the New Zealand all-rounder shared the reason behind staying calm during such games, adding: “I am dead inside”

With the win, Kings XI Punjab have 3 wins in 9 games and they are placed at the sixth position in the points table. They will play Delhi Capitals in their next game on Tuesday (October 20).
