David Warner’s wife Candice Warner reveals their middle child is a huge Virat Kohli fan!

Candice Warner, the wife of Australia’s swashbuckling opener David Warner, has revealed that their middle child is a big fan of Indian captain Virat Kohli. Notably, they have three girls – Ivy Mae, Indi Rae, and Isla Rose who was born last year when the left-handed batsman was in England during the ICC Cricket World Cup.

However, recently Candice Warner was speaking to Triple M Sydney radio station where she was asked if they play backyard cricket. In response, Mrs. Warner said that they do play cricket at home in their backyard before sharing that their middle child is a massive Virat Kohli fan.

“We do play a little bit of backyard cricket. The funny thing is my girls, sometimes they wanna be dad, sometimes they wanna be Finchy (Aaron Finch) but my middle child, she wants to be Virat Kohli. And I am not even joking,” revealed Candice Warner.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli and David Warner will soon be taking on each other during the upcoming series between the two of the best teams in world cricket –  India and Australia. India are currently in Sydney and undergoing the 14-day mandatory quarantine for the upcoming three ODIs, as many T20Is, and four-match Test series as well.

Earlier this month, David Warner and Virat Kohli had played against each other in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League.

It was Warner led SunRisers Hyderabad that beat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore and ended their hope of winning the title by winning the Eliminator. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals beat Hyderabad in Qualifier two and eventually lost to Mumbai Indians in the final, and Mumbai won their record-fifth title.

Notably, Virat Kohli will return home from Australia after playing the limited-overs series and the first Test after the BCCI has granted his leave to be with his wife, Anushka Sharma as the couple is awaiting the birth of their first child. However, Kohli’s absence would impact India’s batting order which might be helpful for the opponent as well.
