David Warner Fires Back At Trolls On Virat Kohli Instagram Post

The former Indian skipper Virat Kohli was heavily trolled on social media. He was not the only one to get some scathing comments. On Friday, he took to Instagram to share a picture of his wife and Bollywood star Anushka Sharma, with an adorable caption. He indicated that she was his world with the use of emojis. Australian batting star David Warner was among those to comment on the post, writing “lucky man”. Many fans took note of the comment and heaped praise on Warner. However, there were others who tried to troll him.

When Warner did respond to one user, he did not lose his cool, but instead simply explained exactly what he meant by his comment, earning more praise from fans.

What do you mean by being lucky here?” the user had asked. “@whokrishna7 it’s a saying we say in Aus, like I would say I’m lucky to have @candywarner1 so when we say to others we say ” you’re lucky mate” or we say you’re blessed mate. Interpretation is always going to be different,” Warner wrote.

Responding to another user, Warner wrote “we are very lucky to have very supportive wives.”

Kohli himself responded to Warner’s original comment, saying “I know mate”.

Kohli has seemingly gotten back to his top form as he notched 59* off 44 balls, consisting of one four and three sixes in the match against Hong Kong. Now in 101 matches, Virat has scored 3,402 runs in T20Is at an average of 50.77. He has 31 half-centuries in the format, with the best individual score of 94*. He has a strike rate of 137.12.

Kohli’s fifty aided Suryakumar Yadav’s blistering knock of 68 as the defending champions India defeated Hong Kong by 40 runs in their Asia Cup match on Wednesday, registering their second successive win in the coveted tournament.

Sent into bat at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, India scored 192 for two with Kohli (59 not out) and Yadav (68 not out) being the team’s main contributors. In reply, Hong Kong were stopped at 152 for five in their allotted 20 overs as India entered the Super 4 stage of the tournament.
