The encounter in Kaula Lampur saw the Men In Blue edge out in a thriller with Virat Kohli dismissing Kane Williamson. The Indian skipper stated that he would remind Williamson about the fact. He said:

“I got Kane’s wicket, really??? I don’t think this will happen again,”

“When we meet tomorrow I’ll remind him. It’s nice to realize that 11 yrs after, we’re captaining our respective nations again in a senior World Cup,”

Kohli also proceeded to reflect on the ramifications of that World Cup with several players managing to break through into the senior team. He stated:

“A lot of players from that World Cup from our batch, from their batch, from other teams as well, made it to their national teams & are still playing. I think it is a really nice memory. Neither me nor him could have ever anticipated that one day this will happen.”

To conclude, the No.1 ranked ODI batsman reminded everyone of his bowling prowess and claimed himself as a lethal bowler unless he doesn’t slip on the pitch.
