CWC 2019: KL Rahul aims to learn from mistakes in the upcoming games

After being deployed as an opener owing to Shikhar Dhawan’s unfortunate injury, KL Rahul has helped himself to a couple of starts but has failed to make it count so far.

With the crucial encounter against England close by, KL Rahul was asked about his performances as an opener which has seen him waste away well-built starts.

In reply, KL Rahul claimed that he aims to assess his mistakes and learn from it and at the same time expressed his disappointment at not being able to convert those starts which would been invaluable for the team especially in the last two matches.

The Kings XI Punjab batsman also added that he will not worry about this situation as he knows that he is doing several things right and feels that it is just about correcting the little tweaks in his game.

KL Rahul was initially operated at No.4 after winning the spot with a century in the warm-up game against Bangladesh. After appearing in the No.4 position for the first two games against South Africa and Australia, the flamboyant batsman was promoted up the order after Shikhar Dhawan was ruled out of the tournament owing to a hairline fracture on his thumb.
